My '87 Paso 750 was transmitting a lot of vibration through the seat and footpegs today and I discovered that the lower rear engine bolt had broken at the base of the threads on one end. It would have fallen out if the other end had not been stopped by the sidestand.
I'm posting this to alert everyone to check your engine bolts for tightness (if you notice increased vibration especially!!) and to ask if anyone has a spare used one. The part number from the microfiche gets no results from my Ducati dealer. I'm guessing the length before it broke, was 22.5cm (8 7/8 in.). It is 10mm thick and has a 14mm locknut on each end. There is approx 16mm of thread on each end. Help? Even an updated part number would be helpful.
Thanks.
