hello there!

another simple (?) problem from newbie :)

guys, I`ve got problem with clutch.
I always had a problem with geting into "neutral" - to do this, I had to relase a litlle bit clutch
and to accelerate.

but from yesterday I have problems with other gears as well.
not always, but sometimes - when I want to get into 2th, 3th, 4th - I also have to release clutch
and accelerate...
without this - the gears are blocked.

I was said that tightening the "clutch screw" would help...

but, today sth weird happened, after coming back from work,
I had to release the clutch almost completely to make the bike moving.

after riding some minutes, I was not able to move the bike at all.
I accelerate heavily, realesed the clutch but without effect.
the clutch was released completely (and I was able to change the gears)
but the bike was not moving...

I had to unscrew the "clutch screw" (dont know is it good name) to make it good...

what do you think about that?

you mean - in simple words :) - changing all the clutch fluid?
no, I havent
I`ve just only add some new fluid.
but after some weeks it became really solid dark.

OK, the first step is to reset the "clutch screw" to it's original position. I'm pretty sure you mean the screw in the lever.

then you need to bleed the system. On the Paso this is a pain in the ass but with a helper and some patience you can do it. I suck the black fluis out of the reservoir and refill. The begin the pumping and bleeding at the slave. DO NOT let the reservior become empty!!!! Air is VERY hard to get out of the system so you need to be patient. It can take 20-30 minutes to fully flush the old fluid and air from the system. If you can use a vacuum bleeder that will make it go easier.

Do you think you can do this??

dont forget , if you are having trouble bleeding and think that there is still air to crack the line where it attaches to the master cylinder and bleed it there, when I went thru a bleed I spent a couple of hours bleeding until I bled at the master cylinder after that I was done in about 2 minutes. good luck. If you can't get the air out the normal way by pouring fluid in the top reservoir, try to use a seringe and inject the fluid from the bottom side, this worked with me. As Johnie said, most of the times an airbubble is trapped at the point were the clutch line is attached to the main cylinder. You can also loosen the connection at that point to let the air bubble out.
