The only 2 things that I found tricky in rebuilding my shock were (1) after removing the shim stacks,there is a large washer that is a very tight fit on the shaft,this has to be tapped back up the shaft (toward the seal end) far enough to expose a snap ring that is rather difficult to remove,and then tapped back off the end of the shaft to allow removal of the seal mounting bush.(2) Filling the shock with oil takes a bit of thought and trial and error so as not to get any air trapped and also get maximum oil volume.I found that about 200 ml of oil put the oil / gas seperating piston at a height where as I pushed the seal assembly into the shock body,I was able to release air through the fill valve and thus get no air in the oil and by the time the seal assembly was in its final position the piston was at the bottom of its travel and ready to be charged with gas.
I'm not sure if this is the correct procedure for filling or correct oil volume but it's now a couple of months since I done it and the shock is working fine.
Some oil is lost as you refit the seal assembly,this is unavoidable.
