Hi. I've just bought an old 750, it's going to need a fair amount of work.

I see there a couple of kiwis on here - to save me a ton of time and false starts, could you please let me know who you've used and trust in NZ (and maybe Aus) for

-New genuine parts
-New aftermarket parts
-Second hand parts
-Workshop stuff - I'm in Napier so anywhere in the NI is do-able.

For consumables and valve shims your local Ducati dealer should do (any in Napier? Motomart.co.nz are in Lower Hutt.)
Phil Sutton in Christchurch desmocycle@paradise.net.nz has limited spares but is very helpful.
Ducatispares.co.nz in Dunedin appear to have lots of spares but are really slow and not terribly helpful.
For any Brembo items bevelheaven,com is the place, very prompt, reasonable price and helpful. (For example, a new Brembo front brake master cylinder delivered to my door was about NZ$200 where a second hand one from Ducatispares.co.nz was NZ$190.00).
Always keep an eye on TradeMe as odd things seem to appear (have bought in the past; a starter motor brush kit, ignition key switch, bits of body work, filters, Bagster tank bag and tank cover, fork seals etc). Your local engineering supplies store will have bearings (steering head etc), seals and "O" rings.

Thanks guys that's great. Motomart are the closest dealer to me, I've used them and Ducatispares before.

Motomart struck me as a bit money hungry, especially the workshop, but I guess most franchised dealers are.

Any ideas for plastic...is there a supplier anywhere in our part of the world that does aftermarket fibreglass?
