Well the Deka battery is in and boy, does it work! Massimo has been starting without any dramas and is running fine. Although the temperature is getting colder it is still nice and sunny, so I have been out on a couple of rides. As soon as I hit the twisties outside Canberra both bike and rider were happy. How good is riding bikes to get rid of any cobwebs? :P

I also found the source of my confusion re. the size of the Odyssey 535: this is for the 907 which has a larger battery. The 750 takes a smaller one (can't remember the exact Odyssey type number). The Deka is an ETX15L and works great.

The brakes are better, but still not exactly where I would like them, so I'm going to have to go to braided lines.

Cheers,

Mike
