Guys,
you can turn that old torn seat back to brand new condition. After repainting the whole bike(original pearl white limited edition), I was looking for a new original seat and found out who was the manufacturer and still could not find a replacment. The seat had cuts whole and was torn. Since I wanted to keep every thing original, decided to give a repair kit a shot. I bought a kit made by Permatex which is called PRO STYLE VINYL & REPAIR KIT. This kit comes complete with pigmented compound which turns to rubber and an ironing tool for about $10.00 (in California). I followed the procedures explained in the kit and repaired all the damages. Then, cleaned the entire seat with paint prepration solvent which is used for cars before painting. This is a very strong solvent and will melt the surface of the vinyl which is good. Then, I painted the seat with red vinyl spray paint. Now, after 5 months of riding it still looks brand new. These kits are available on ebay. chek the item # 290037834190 on ebay.
