I didnt undertood all, but anyway i want to ask one thing: angelick, Did You use enigine with high RPMs, before You started to check valve clearances??? I know well, that valves and and heads MUST be CLEAN from all shit before You start make valve measurements!!! If bike have used in city traffic with low rpms, then valves seat areas are full of shit and U can get tatally wrong measurements from clearances. It is VERY important job to use(clean) engine with high rpms enough long time, before U start to measure/adjust valve clearances, that valve areas are clean. I have heard this from those Ducati friends, who have played with these engines very many years. One guy asked from "customer", that whatkind driving U have made close times? Answer was, that only city traffic. Conclusion: "i really dont start to measure valves, BEFORE U go to motorway and drive Your 916 there 2 hours with high rpms"... Guys, now i am not joking, this was truth.... |

![]() Also, measuring and adjusting valves cannot be done if there is heat in the motor. It can be done only in the morning, after the motor has become completely cold during the night. |

I'm going to check the valves' clearance and to change the belts. So, I'll bring the bike in the motorway before to start the work... 2 hours? I'll come to Florence, I'll say hello to Nicola (Ducapaso) and then I'll come back to my home. Antti, I'm seeing for a 916 :lick: :lick: :lick: . Ciao |

Frankie dear, You live in country, where Ducatis have born and You drive "slowly"   Now U have 2 possibilities: U start to drive her VERY FASTLY with higher rpms in twisty roads, OR better maybe, that U change to some jap brand... ![]() |
