Had the bike in for its 6 monthly warrant of fitness. All good, but the wear bars on the rear tyre are starting to peek through. The front tyre is also worn. So the outcome is that the tyres will need to be replaced before the next inspection. As the bike has been back to the same inspection centre with the same inspector for the last 5 times he knows I’m not suddenly going to put thousands of km on them before the next inspection. They tyres have lasted for 7500km, is this the normal wear to be expected? Fraser. |

I drive in my 17" 907IE Michelin Pilot Roads about 13 000km in rear and 14 000km in front, but that compound can be different. Surely with such kms ONLY, if drive carefully without wheeling... About same amount in ST4s. I havent look closer, how long with 750 Paso 16" Michelins, but maybe little shorter, if that compound is "older" ... ![]() |

Depending on compound and riding style I can go thru a rear tire in 2500 miles on my multi 1000. 5000 on the rear of the Paso would seem normail as that it how many miles I have on my rear and it's almost to the wear bars. |

Hi, for the US guys who don`t find tires ... regarding tires it seems to me you`re living in the land of milk and honey. I just put "M59X" in a meta search engine. This is the result (and I`m sure there`s more as in the meta search program I`m using I can specifically search by country i.e. Germany, Italy, France, Spain or GB): (although some of the shops listing the tires may not have them on stock I still don`t think the tires are that hard to find) (NZL is an exception. I seached for dealers but didn`t find any ![]() G. |
