Bled Clutch 22-May-07
Drained Oil 23-May-07
Removed Oil Cooler Lines 23-May-07
Bought New Rear Blinkers 24-May-07
Installed After Market Rear Blinkers 28-May-07

Replaced Timing Belts 28-May-07
Tested Fuel Pump 28-May-07
Checked Fuel Lines 28-May-07
Charged Battery 28-May-07
Replaced Spark Plugs 28-May-07
Checked Air Filter 29-May-07
Painted Clutch Cover 29-May-07
Replaced Oil Cooler Lines 1-Jun-07
Filled Oil 1-Jun-07
Still need to replace the tires, but it looks like the bike is almost ready for action.
Started the bike on 1-Jun-07 however the RPMs is sitting at over 6000 and it will not go down. Exhaust pipe was glowing bright red.
So I take it that it's getting too much fuel.
I have some quick questions:
1. Under the gas tank there are three holes: one that goes to the petcock and two others on the rightside of the tank, which connection should the reserve hose connect to (the front or rear)?
2. Do you think that I need to rebuild the carburetor / is the float valve stuck / is this why the RPMs are high?
3. Who has the cheapest rebuild kit.... will this one work?
Thanks.....
