Another chapter to the tire discussion! I had to change the front tire of my 750 Paso, and as you all know, these are very hard to get hold of. Therefore I tried an alternative.
As I read in many comments not everybody is convinced this is a good move, I would like to give you my expirience.
I changed to a Bridgestone Battlax, 130-70. Only a slight modification of the front fender is needed, you have to raise it a bit.
Of course there is a lot of differnce between a new and a worn tire, but even when I keep that in mind, I have to say that this tire works very good. Better than the original one. Cornering and stability of the bike are better than ever.
As you don´t have to make big modifications to fit this 130/70, you can easily return to the original tires. But I won´t. I use the Bridgestone front with the original Michelin rear, and I can really reccommend this solution.

Thanks, I'm in the same situation, and wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I bought two new rears, but if I'm unable to find a front, this might make the decision to switch sizes easier.
