Hi All, Just spent CHF 700.- on overhauling an old Ohlins shock from eBay for a 750 Paso here in Switzerland - labour was CHF 290, the rest for parts, including a new spring... They showed me the old parts afterwards and I'm not surprised that they needed to be replaced... The authorised Ohlins dealer also informed me that any other authorised Ohlins dealer can build a new one as the specs and parts are readily available... If you use http://www.google.fr and search for Ohlins 750 paso in France ONLY you will find a number of options and will need to spend at least EUR950.-: http://www.access-moto.com/Article_Amor ... b45252eee4 http://www.twenga.fr/offre/91790584.html http://www.pieces-auto-moto.com/fiche_D ... Before I forget - regarding the front forks I just bought a used pair of forks and 2/3 of an engine for CHF 450 yesterday. The forks are currently being stripped and will be sent to Maxton for a conversion: http://www.maxton.netspinners.co.uk/ "CLASSIC FORK CONVERSIONS The conversion can be carried out using a number of different methods depending on the type of fork. By far the most popular conversion on the classic side is one where we throw away all the standard internals and start again. We fit all our own damper rods, valving and springs - all manufactured to suit your rider weight and bike usage. Over the years we have converted many different makes of forks. The most popular conversions are: - Norton Roadholder forks (as fitted to Seeleys) - Ceriani forks - Marzzochi forks - Triumph and B.S.A forks - TZ and Early Yamaha forks We convert and improve all forks - classic, standard and upside down." This will cost about GBP400.- for competely new internals. Cheers, Mark |

€ 1.000 is a lot of money although that is a nice shock. One can get a custom built, fully adjustible (incl. riding height) Wilbers racing shock for 2-300 less. G. |
