I recently bought the 88 limited that was for sale on ebay in Glendale AZ, I did as much research as I could and feel confident its a real one. I wanted a red one but couldnt pass up the limited for obvious reasons.I'm going thru it now most of the items that need attention are relativley easy fixes (brake light switches, front tire, breather tube and breather filter, turn signal lens. Unfortunatley the previous owner replaced the large original mufflers with standard paso units, I guess the original ones were kinda rough and he ended up throwing them away. does anyone know if the big muffs show up for sale occasionally??? the only other non stock item is the 906 mikunis that were installed which I would have done anyway. this is my first duc, I always lusted after the pasos and I cant believe I didnt take the opportunity to ride one back in the 80s, I wasted all these years riding my kawasakis when I could have had one of these. It's never to late to change!!! John |

John, welcome. Like every new Paso owner you should check the service history of the bike. In case you don`t have that info check valve clearance and replace the belts also. The Mikunis come from a Supersport or Monster as the 906 had the same Weber carb as the P750. The race cans that came with the Limiteds are for race use only. I`d say also on ebay they are hard to find. G. |

What's up guys? I just bought my first Ducati today! It's an 88 750 paso and it came with F1s pipes. It does not run at this time. I think it's got oil in the starter, theres power going to it but it doesn't turn. I will get it going soon.... |

I'm looking to re-do it all brushes, commutator and seals if I can find them! I'm really excited because I have never riden a Ducati, I have a 92 GSX-1100g and an 82 Yamaha Vision so I really want to hurry up and get the Paso going. I will keep all of you posted on my improvement..... |

Drive carefully your Paso the first times, and above all, take care in the corners... Never brake in it! Ciao |

I've never seen oil in the starter. Do you see oil coming from it?? Gerhard is right, check the brushes. This can be done with the starter mounted to the engine and is relatively easy to do. There are also electric/wiring issues with the Paso that seriuosly effect starting so please read thru the FAQ at the top of the forum. We have tried to compile every problem you might encounter! Replace the belts before riding if you don't know their age and just use a good 10-40W or 20-50W motorcycle oil. My Paso liked regular motor oil vs. synthetic. |

some parts, like belts or turn signal covers you should be able to order and get via your Duc dealer. Have you tried the search function of the forum for the starter brushes ? This was discussed a few times already. |
