I recently purchased my first Ducati Paso, a 1987 that has been in storage since 1991. It still has the original Pirelli tires on it which have to be replaced. I have a Michelin M59X rear tire but have not been able to locate the A59X front tire anywhere in the U.S. I know they are discontinued to rear tires are still available on a couple of websites. Anybody know of a site where the A59X front tire is still available or some other source in the U.S.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

a fast search in the internet gave me these results (no idea if they actually have them in stock): G. PS: all tires will probably be 3-4 years old. (change the belts before you ride) |

Hello and congrats on the new to you paso. They are a lot of fun and turn a lot of heads too. I am a new paso enthusiast myself and have put about 12,000 miles on mine in the past 9 months I've had it. I haven't driven my car much since I got it. Over that 12,000 I have gone through four sets of tires. You can still find the rears if you try. But I haven't found a front since I've had the bike. I looked a lot. Everyone has them on their page, but have none in stock. I and some others have switched the front to a much more common and still made size of 130-70-16 which is pretty close.. I started out with a pirrelli scorpion front but it only made it 1900 miles before needing a new on. This time I found an avon azaro which has over a thousand miles on it and is showing much better wear characteristics than the pirrelli. It is cheaper too. I am not a big fan of avon tires, but this one has treatwed me right. In order to change to this other size though, you will have to pull the front fender and mounting plate and put a set of thick washers under the plate before you replace it in order to have the fender clear the tire. Other than that it is a simple swap. I have not noticed and adverse affects from the swap. It still handles like a dream. Enjoy the Paso ![]() |

Thanks for the info nickapaso. I'm having the same problem to change the front tire. base on what you are saying you don't need to change the wheel, just a modification on the fender?. Have a great day. Sal |

Hi Horse, So where did you find your tire? Getting ready to do the same - replace to original sizes, for the same reasons. I'd like to ride with the right tire size for a little while, before experimenting with Avon's etc... |
