Hi What cans are you riding with? I ride with open, golf ball roll thru types and K&N filter, and I can recommend the below. This is what I have fitted, and it is ok. I would like to fit a fuel regulator. This should also help. *=changed Choke:36 Ventury: 350 *Main jet: 160 * Air corrector jet: 170 *Ideling jet: 60 * (65 is to rich) Air ideling jet: 130 Pump jet: 35 Starting jet: F7/110 Needle valve: 300 Kind regards Klaus |

Duncan, I've fitted a k&n and didn't changed the setting. Mine allmost runs perfect..! |

Hi Leon, kuip stuur ik zaterdag met post, I have tried the filter without rejetting but I get a lot of backfire out of the right hand exhaust ![]() ![]() Duncan. |

If you fit it under the stock airbox lid you should not have to change anythiing. If you have modified your airbox lid maybe a step up on the idle jet |

If the backfiring is on the over-run at lower speeds,and you have no airbox,(just the oval type filter on top of the carby),it is probably one size too large on idles,but this opens a whole new can of worms as you may have to go up a couple of sizes in mains to compensate,or risk creating a lean hole further up the rev range.I know this information is contrary to the traditional,more air flow,must be lean,richen her up approach,but it is based on my experiences with the a similar setup contis/oval k&n/weber.Every time my p750 got backfiring on the overrun,I was rich on idles ! J. |
