Okay following on from the threads regarding the 16" options and in particular the thoughts on wheel re building using a 17" rim and the thoughts that some of us have had regarding what can be done. If anyone has access to specifications, drawings and details that could be used to seek out possibilities of building a 750 / 906 wheel to suit modern spec tyre use then please stick it here. I am going to attempt to see if Cristina is still at Customer Service in Ducati Holding, Borgo Panigale as she helped me greatly with info regarding the mirrors. Ideas, Cad drawings, engineering specs all welcome folks. If anyone gets anywhere useful then let us all know via this thread. ![]() |

does anyone know of a good sandcaster? the Oscam wheels look to be sandcast, and that is easy to duplicate by using an existing wheel as a form. the cost of casting the weels isn't too much, but the post machining is what sets the price high. Cheers, |

Been doing a little research, just what I need another project to do ![]() ![]() So I have only a few more questions to answer. Can the 16 inch oscam wheels handle the additional stress of converting them to 17. And what width is needed for the standard fitment of 17 inch tires available now and for the foreseeable future Any thoughts? |

Standard sizes for other Ducs is 4,5x17 and 5,5x17 on the rear, but if you modify an OSCAM rim to become 17" you`ll end up with 5,5" width for sure. Why this thread in the sale/buy forum ? G. |

I placed this in the For Sale/Trade/Want to buy thread because it will most likely stay in the new posts list longer and as it is something that we may all invest into (as in buy) and possibly if anyone has the impulse to actually fabricate something (Trade) then it seemed sort of logical. I could just put it in the 750 slot but then possibly only those interested in that model may look. I am more than happy to see it placed were ever considered appropriate. Another thought is a to have a as an example "Hard to Find, Fabrication and Modification Info" Index in the Forum List Index but then that means adding yet another list to search through and for someone to organise. ![]() |

How about using 907IE swingarm (with brake stuff), with 4.5" wheel with suitable tire for that rim? I quess, not so bad idea for 750 Paso ![]() |
