Has anyone given the tyre declaration a careful look? They specify a radial for the front but a bias belt for the rear. Surely some mistake, why haven't they stated radial rear and I always thought for a tyre type mix, the radial always went on the rear. Of course thats not always possible regarding available fitment so should they not recommend any bias belt tyre for the M59X replacement? I wonder what those bikes will corner like! |

Hi seeing that makes me feel a lot better. The bridgestone set up is eaxctly what I have put on my sport which I'm busy rebuilding into a track day bike. I was told by a classic racer that they use the BT45 a lot and that having mixed radial/cross bias is no biggie. Apparently done quite often to quieten a bike's handling down. I'm still putting the sport back together so have not ridden it yet to see what the tyres will be like but this news is encouraging. |

I'm happy to help someone that live out of Italy... ![]() ![]() ![]() At the moment I've found three front tyre (2 Pirelli MP7 and 1 Michelin A59) and one rear tyre (Michelin M59) ![]() ![]() ![]() The tires are old (2004 I think) but never used. ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope to read in future some Italian solutions, because in Italy is very difficult to legalize different tires. ![]() ![]() ![]() Valpaso75 |

In Ducati at the moment they tell me that is better original tires. I think that Pirelli are very old but Michelin not too much. May you suggest me to mount tires declared by German Ducati ? May I have problems with insurance ? What is better ? Valpaso75 |

throw away those Pirellis and be very carefull with those Michelins. Terry had told me recently that ha had a used rear tire he tried to mount on a rim. When doing that cracks started to appear although it had looked quite good. G. |
