I'm not sure if my issue is with the rear M/C or not yet, so I'm just doing my homework here, in case I need to pull it after all.

It looks like the Pasos didn't use the 40mm on-center mounting which became popular later; it appears my rear brake master cylinder has a 50mm on-center mounting. Can anyone confirm the pump size is 16mm (vs 11mm on the newer units)? I think I've found a replacement cylinder @ BevelHeaven . I think this the unit, going solely by mount description; I'll have to take a closer look at what's actually on the bike first ...



First call to business is replacing the cheaper parts & shortening the reservoir's lead, but I was curious if anyone knew of any rebuild kits for this M/C too?

faster, the brake pump is a PS12 with 50mm mounting hole distance (I think this also exists as PS13). Someone here put a newer pump on his bike with an adapter plate, but the pic of the drawing is down.
There are some brake pumps with 50mm mounting hole distance from Nissin. These can be found ie on
Suzuki GSX 750 F, 2001, type AK1113, Yamaha TDR 125, 1993-2002, type 5AN, Suzuki GSX 1400, 2001-2004, type JS1BN11 (exit to fluid container exits horizontally though), Kawasaki GPX 600 R ZX600A, 1989 This one has a 14mm piston (pic below). The Nissins may need some small modification to connect to the brake lever.
If you want a Brembo and can`t find anything at a Duc dealer, try a Guzzi dealer.
The pump shown in your thread won`t work. (that one works when the lever is pulled. The Pasos brake lever has a pin that is pushed upwards)

Another option is to attach the entire brake cylinder and pedal assembly from newer Ducatis. The holes are already tapped into the engine cases (for some reason) Plenty on E-bay, and for a reasonable price. Get all the mounting bolts. Make sure you check for the spacer in the back bolt, as this is also the mounting hole for the centerstand on some models, so there are basically two different brackets, one with an offset, and one with out. If you get one from a 749/999 then you have an adjustable pedal length. I did this on my Sport to get more clearance to the 2into1 GiaCaMoto pipe that was hitting the original brake pedal. Don't know if this clears all the body and frame on a Paso though.
