I bought a 1988 750 Paso this year and I am interested in putting an exhaust system on it to increase my horsepower. Let me know what you think and who carries them. :thumbup: |

not too many vendors left making exhaust for the Paso. the most affordable and available setup is from Cobra, called the F1. They're aluminum. i have Staintunes, but they're rather pricey. top-notch quality they are though. :thumbup: |

But you know that a good exhaust system won't be enough to gain power&torque... at least you need to adjust also the carburation. LC |

Don't get a D&D! well, maybe you guys have good d&d's, but mine came with a two into one d&d when i bought it off the guy (unfortunately he didnt have the stock unit). not only do you have to remove the pillion footpegs, but the exhaust routing apparently interferes with the rear suspension! tooling around one day i notcied the aluminum linkage down there had a notch in it to accomidate the exhaust. thought it was standard, till i found out the original exhaust was two into one! the pipes melted the notch into the linkage. doesn't look terminal (i hope), its just the surrounding metal around the bolt, but fire that engineer! long story short, stay away from d&d. by the way, is there any place with stock pipes? |

Hi there, My 750 Paso came with a two into one from Star Twin, a company that resides in the Netherlands. It works AOK and it sounds great! Wouldn't know what price it was, it's kind of a one-off so You'll have to ask them for the price on it. Quality is great, as could be expected from the guys that are supposed to have developed the swinger on the MHE. Or so the story goes... My bike is running this exhaust with a K&N filter which makes the carburetion leaner, so I'll have to have the carburetion sorted this summer to gain any power. As it is now, it runs like a scolded cat between 3.500 and 7500 rpm. Below and above that it's not great, as was to be expected as carburetion is already lean on Weber-equipped Pasos. In general, ALL modifications made to an engine, exhaust or filter-wise, will have to be followed by modifying carburetion to gain any power. There are very few bikes that improve by just changing the exhaust or filter. In exchange, modifying exhaust will have little effect without changing the filtering -read airflow- and vice versa. Hi All, Sil Motor still makes exhausts for the 907ie: http://www.silmotor.net/flash/Catalogo/E_Marche.htm Not sure whether they fit on our 750 Pasos. All the best, Mark |
