Newbie 750 Paso owner now as of this weekend or actually two. (so "hi" everyone!)
'87 750 is the assembled one. Mikuni's, 2-1 exhaust and a few other minor tweaks within. Runs but suspension, tires, rubber grommets need help. Supposedly Pro Italia did the paintwork and mods on it when new (there is a bunch of old Pro Italia stickers on / within bodywork), but given 25+ years that could also be b.s. or someones best wishes.
'88 750 is disassembled -- 90% there though. Although a few things with the bodywork don't match the '87. I can detail more later. Looks like the original finish was "white" on the bodywork as well.
How does one differentiate between a base -vs.- limited edition?
I saw my first Paso in Berkeley/Oakland in '87 and always wanted one. I'll cleanup the runner and add to my "daily rider" selection of Ducati's. Second Paso I'll probably make a few mods to with more modern components for fun and as a project later.

Welcome to the site. I assume you are in the SF Bay Area somewhere. I'm south of you in Fremont. Nice bikes, and certainly a project bike. Keep me posted if you plan a ride, and I'll come and join you.
Cheers, Phil

I'm outside of Tacoma, Washington. The '88 Paso was originally from Tennessee/Virginia via Arizona to small town way north of Seattle. The '87 (rider) was from SoCal to Prescott, AZ to small town way north of Seattle.

Hi... Nice projects. Interesting paint. I have been looking at getting a Paso to add to 916 and 900SS and have had trouble deciding between 750's and 906's. Am very close to pulling trigger on 2900 mile 750, but previous owner powder-coated brackets matching red, put on Akront 17 inch wheels and did them in red as well. Otherwise stock. Still has Weber an runs great. What made you decide on these vs 906, say? I understand Weber can be made better with adjustable fuel pressure regulator instead of switching to dell'orto's.
