A fella here in Scotland wants to know if he can fit a 500 or 650 Pantah head on to the rear cylinder of a 750 Paso motor. He is building a TT replica and has the Paso motor. He is aware that the valves are smaller but that can be fixed. |

Hi Derek, I think this is possible as the base of these engines is the same. when you swap those heads, partucular the vertical one the Pantah camshaft has to be used as the inlet valve moves from the front side to the rear side of the cylinder. the 750 engine has a few mm. larger bore and a longer stroke. It has been done before. Here is the one that RAD Ducati did: http://radducati.blogspot.com.es/2012/0 ... -2012.html And I believe Loud Bikes also did this after he blew up his F1 motor. I'm sure it isn't just a straight swap, but there are a few people who have done that can help him through it. Cheers, Phil |

As far as I remember a 500 and 600 cylinder has a different cylinder stud distance. Don`t know about the 650. G. |

Thanks guys I will pass on this info. I'd already mentioned the camshafts but didn't know about the possible stud spacing change. |
