I did some work on my paso 906, and also checked the float level which should be 42mm I recently had some troubles starting my paso 750 (started, and then died, seemed to get not enough gasoline), and it also was not running how it did in the past. Checking the float level, i realized that is was approx. 46mm. I changed it to 42, and the bike started perfect! It seems also to run better than before. I was now investigating about the float level of the 750, and i found that the float level is different (45mm) from the 906 (42mm). But it really seems to work better on my 750 (wich is basically a 780; -> 90 bore) . Has anybody experienced the same, or changed float level on the 750 too?? regards pasoalf |

there are many variations of the DCNF Weber that found their way onto the Paso. It is not an easy thing to compare one to the next as they came from different factories and even two of the same series could have been equipped with different jet sizes. As a general rule of thumb those on the 750 came with smaller choke sizes than those of the 906. The other simple truth is most Pasos with Weber ran just fine till modifications to the airbox or the exhaust came along |

With the change to the 90 bore kit I've put also an open K@N filter an GIAGAMOTO pipes. AT that time my mechanic (wich is now retired) changed the setting of the weber. At that time it runned well (that was 20 years ago). in the last two years the starting problem appeared, and i had the impression, that the engine was running poor (not enough gasoline). I just wonder what impact the float level has. It seems, that the change from 46 to 42 solved the problem.... |
