I asked Adige to clarify what are the different part#s available for their dry clutch kits for OLD bikes (up to but excluding the 999), since they are divided by type of motorbike.

Please note thsese refer only to the friction pack, for the complete sets the best is check the catalogue and find out the complete set code# against the friction pack code#.

the dry clutch kits available according to their catalogue are:

DU-45 (Elefant 650, Indiana, F3 , F1 L.Seca e S.Monica)
DU-83 (Elefant 350, 750 Dakar, Explorer, Bifaro, 900)
DU-79 (Sport , Junior ,Paso 750 & 906)
DU-56 (all/most of "dry clutch" bikes from 91 onwards including the Tamburini* series)
DU-74 (851 e 888 and all Tamburini SP SPS R)

and this is the reply I got:

DU-45 - organic friction Kit discs only (6disc+1 "tornito"** ) STeel disc support
DU-83 - organic friction Kit discs only (7disc+1 "tornito"** ) STeel disc support
DU-79 - same as DU-45
DU-56 - organic friction Kit discs only (7discs) STeel disc support
DU-74 - Syntered friction Kit discs only (8 disc) steel disc support.

*Tamburini = 748-916-996-998 in Strada & S versions
** Tornito = literally means machined on the lathe; I checked a couple of pictures on the web and it seems that these kits have 1 disc which is plain (no friction material)

Whac could be the purpose of the machined disc I dont know... it ois not the noise, most likely it is to make it "slippery" when engages but wilst I can see that on the Elefant, I can't on the F1..

Anyway, my guess is that on old Pantas every kit should be OK provided the pack height is correct, if I had to get a pack I would go for the DU-83 at least I have 8 discs (7+1) so I can play with my clutch.

if racing, then the syntered version is the one to choose and if you need a plain ndisc to get the height right, then you can you an old one.

Thanks angelix I've added this to the FAQs. ADIGE was the first ever clutch kit I bought for my Paso. Back then my Ducati dealer had told me these were actually the supplier of the original clutches.

I found the box of the Adige kit I bought back in 2001

I think the DU-81 is the complete set including the steel dics
