Tried searching for this without any luck so apologies if it's been covered but... Is FA47 the correct EBC part number for the rear? Thanks, Todd |

I found that as well but a couple of places I tried to buy them said they "don't fit this model". And they are right. Different shape. The ones in the bike are stamped "Brembo". Couldn't make out a number. I'll try and clean them to see if I can find a part number. |

My own preference is for SBK brake pads. Rear is 519HF and front is 566HF |

This may be part of the problem. Wondering if this bike has a different caliper on the rear. Pads are the same as the front wheel. Double pin retainer. Also I think the pressure ratio between the rear master cylinder and the caliper is way off. It's been bled, checked that the pistons are free and I adjusted the pedal but there is very little pressure on the rear caliper. Hmmm

That looks like a normal rear brake caliper. Have you tried adjusting the actuating rod between the brake pedal and the rear master cylinder? This is threaded and adjusts the position of the plunger inside the master cylinder. If adjusted too much one way it will restrict the brake fluid from returning, which builds up pressure until the brake locks on. Turned too much the other way the brake doesn't work. It has a happy place in the middle. Cheers, Fraser. |

These are the brake pads that fit on the rear Brembo caliper: Braking 613 SBS 506 BREMBO 72256 / BREMBO GR21/40 EBC FA18 FERODO FDB108 LUCAS MCB19 NEWFREN FD0013 CARBONE LORRAINE 2332 These are 56.0 x 55.0 x 9.0mm. The SBK 519HF (and EBC FA047) will not fit as those are for the 907IE's caliper which is the one used on the SS, Monster etc etc. Those calipers have one center pin that holds the pads, the one of the Paso/ Sport has two. It may be that you have crystalline deposits in the master pump or caliper. When I rebuilt mine there was quite a bit of blue stuff in both but specially in the pump. |

The FA047 in the EBC catalog confused me. The FA18 makes sense. Double pin vs single pin as you mention. I've adjusted the rod between the two but think an overhaul is in order. Just received my Galfer lines so while i'm switching those out it makes sense to go through the calipers and master cylinder. We'll see what happens. Thanks for the input. |
