Hi, Got another question... Who knows the make and where to get the black sigar style exhausts like on a early 851 (tricolore)? Do the fit the sport without making new brackets? Any info is welcome. Cheers Joep |

Do you mean the stock Ducati pipes? I don't think 851 exhaust will fit the Sport. I have a set of stock mufflers for the Sport. |

Hello, There are some pictures of the exhausts I like in this topic I tried to contact the owner but no reply so far. Who knows where to get those or the make? Cheers Joep |

That style is called a reverse megaphone, or sometime called a Dunstall type, as Dunstall made pipes for many British bikes that look like that, or reverse cone megaphone. Nice pipes, and generally very loud. Some had baffling, many did not. I don't know who makes those, and finding them is always a challenge. Saw some on e-bay last week and sold for a good price as I remember. Do searches for Ducati Pantah, Paso, 851, F-1, Norton, Triumph, Guzzi, and of course, reverse megaphone, or reverse cone megaphone. If you really want them, they are relatively easy to make if you have a sheet metal roller. A good metal fab shop can roll you some. Cheers, |

Those are Conti reverse cone mufflers. They were made back in the late 80s and early 90s. They are quite rare today. But if you are really interested, I have the last pair of NEW mufflers for the Sport. Probably in the world. They won't be cheap. PM me if you want a price. |

OOoooo! AAaaah! Those are beautiful and the real deal. I can just imagine the music they make. Those, I think, are most appropriate pipes for a good sporting Sport. They marked an era that ended around the time of the Sport. After that, it was the big aluminum and carbon fiber cans. I remember a lot of 600 TT1 and TT2 and the F-1 750s with those pipes. How much did you say you wanted for those? Rare as hen's teeth, but much better looking. Cheers, |

a lot of the neo-retro ducati/guzzi/triumphs have that style exhaust: did you try staintune? not as cool as the real thing maybe-- ![]() or you can go real cheap at oldbikebarn.com - they have universal ones for like $80 http://www.oldbikebarn.com/British-Duns ... er-Muffler |
