I was tempted to elongate or reposition the single pick-up of the standard system Phil but it seemed like sacrilege to do that to the engine casing plus as you say, still no facility/much harder to fine tune the settings.

Just to confirm all the parts that you had to change to replace the Digiplex system with the Kokusan system.
- Pickups and pickup plates attached to the cases. Along with wire harness. Cap off the old sensor hole on the cover.
- Flywheel for different timing marks
- Exciter boxes that replace the old Digiplex box.
- Assorted wiring changes to get power and signal to the right places. (follow a later model wire diagram)

A good bit of work, but certainly doable, and for the most part a bolt on conversion, is that right?
Just want to get your perspective so that I am prepared for when I have to make the change, or someone else on the list gets frustrated with the Digiplex.

I don't think you have left anything out there, and yes there is provision to fit all ignition parts to the engine without modification as Cagiva wisely covered all options with the crankcases - you have probably seen the blanking plate for the clutch pushrod option as well. You just need to find a home for the exciter boxes as I think you said. If you are using an SS/Monster as a donor then the brkt for housing these and the coils is adaptable

It is not my intention to hijack this thread, but after reading Glocast's post I have to ask. Can a 750 Sport or Paso be easily modified to accept the clutch setup from a later style slave cylinder.

as fester says, sadly it's only the crankcases that are universal clutch-wise here.
