I have 2 Dellorto PFH 36 carbs and a Thomaselli Daytona 2C throttle. Anyone have a ready source of cables, or is this a case of making my own? The back carb needs a 45 degree elbow, while the front carb does not. I also want to add elbows at the throttle. One source for custom cables is Motion Pro, which is near me, and certainly a high quality option. But, if there is a ready made option already defined, I will support the guys who have already done the engineering work. Cheers, |

Motion Pro makes good cables, and they are local to me. Bevel Heaven uses them as their source. Teflon lined. I sent them an e-mail, but have not heard back yet. Bevel Heaven sells a set, but its for a bevel head motor, which will make one cable very long. I guess I'll just make my own set. Cheers, |

Hi Ducinthebay, Early Cagiva elefant (350/650) uses one cable of the contol and a splitter to become 2 cables for each carb. I might have seen this on the malossi site. You might also want to have a look at Moto Guzzi Le Mans set up although they have different mountings on the top of the carbs many Guzzisti have modified this to a simular Ducati setup. This might be available from Stein Dinse. I hope this helps... Cheers Joep |

I couldn't find anyone who makes a cable set that fit the bike directly. Everything I found I would have to modify. A custom set at Motion Pro would be over $75. Bevel Heaven will sell me two long cables that I could modify for $45. Barnett makes kits, but you have to go through their dealers to order it. Nothing online that I could find. I opted for a kit to make my own from Venhill for $38, and it had extra elbows, fittings, and adjusters that I wanted. http://www.venhillusa.com/Universal-Cab ... -p698.html Venhill is big in England, so if you are in Europe, visit their UK site. Seems like the best deal going. Cheers, |

Finished making my new cables for the Sport. I can highly recommend the Venhill twin cable DIY kit. The housings were plenty stout and have teflon tubes lining them. The inner cables were the woven kind which slide nicely and are silky smooth. Soldering was a breeze, as they are zinc coated. They had plenty of fitting that fit up well to the Thomaselli Daytona 2C throttle, and the Dellortos. All in all a fine kit, and now I have a very nice set of custom cables that should last the life of the bike. Two thumbs up. Oh, and the U.S. rep is a real nice guy. An hour after placing the order for two sets, he sent me a note that said his kits are a hot item, and he's run out temporarily. He then tells me he has a demo kit that he can fed-ex out so I have it for the weekend. Most guys would leave you hanging for a week before telling you. Cheers, |
