Hi Everyone not sure if that is what they are called - but has anyone changed the two bearing type assemblies (one is attahed to the bracket that you set the belt tension with) which run against the cam belts which set the belt tension? are they simple common bearings or are they special ducati only parts? |

Hi Clive - the 'twin' mobile tensioner bearings are ordinary and easily available. It's the smaller dia static belt tensioner bearing that is more bespoke and more expensive. |

The ones of the belt tensioner are SKF 6201-2RSH. The ones of the static part should be SKF 630/8 -2RS1. (id 8mm, od 22mm, h 11mm) G. |

Thanks for the help guys. G my static bearing seems to be fixed on a solid 8mm bolt and the height is 24mm and the od is 24mm? bought the bearins today as per your part numbers. so i would need to fit 2 of the static bearings (ie like the mobile tensioner bearings) to make up the height (width of the belt) and mount on a 8mm bolt with a 5mm spacer? |

Clive, those are the numbers I found searching some parts shops. If you check the parts catalogue there were two different static pulleys depending on the VIN. The first one was available in seperate parts while the newer one was sold as a single unit. The numbers stated are from the older part. There are two single bearings inside a tube with washers and spacers. Did you remove/disassemble your pulley ? (#33 is a circlip, so attention when you try to drive the bearings out) G. |

A few years ago when I had a 900SS I tried to get one of the fixed rollers apart but couldn't manage. Is item 35 threaded or is it a push fit? |

I don`t have one at hand but it must be push fit. Threaded doesn`t make sense to me. I can imagine getting the bearings out of the tube can be difficult as with the circlip in the middle they must be driven in from each side and not from the same as i.e. the ones in the sprocket carrier. That`s probably the reason why they decided only to sell the complete unit at a certain point (unless they went for a single wide roller bearing, too). G. |
