Hi G. I would say they will fit. the angle of the joint seems to be the same as on a sport. Bertus |

Hello Andrew, if that is still the old carbed SS and not an SSie that would be very interesting. G. |

Yep,carbie equipped 1997 model.I just held the Contis from the Sport up against the SS pipes and they look almost identical.I'd say they would go straight onto a Sport. If I was'nt saving for some new forks for the Sport I'd be looking at snapping them up myself. Then again maybe the forks can wait a bit longer ![]() ![]() Cheers Andrew |

I'd have to remove the exhaust off the SS to find out.I would'nt be able to do that until tomorrow if you really needed to know. Cheers Andrew |

Nope, not going to fit.The bend is wrong and putting the pipe into the swingarm. Cheers Andrew |

From these photos you can see they are not even close. The Conti from my Sport is rubbing on the swingarm and to low to connect to the hanger.Sorry for the phone photos but it's all I had charged. And the new. These actually only miss the swingarm by 5mm and I had to use some force to lift and line up the hanger holes. Cheers Andrew |

Looks like some careful bending of the hanger plates would give you some extra clearance. |
