Hi, Just want to let you all know that my Sport is back on the road after my 900 ss engine failure (run lose flywheel) in 2011. I'm running a 750ss engine from 91, with the weber and gt tyres which I love. No problems whatsoever. Just a little standing up while breaking in corners but I never found this troublesome. What I really like is the splendid stability over rigdes, roadpaint ect. parallel to the driving direction. This might be because they are new and round. Stability in corners also good So far no experiance in the rain. cheers Joep |

Thanks for that Joep. What I'm really interested in is edge grip. How are these tyres when pushed hard when cornering. Are they predictable....nothing unexpected once they get to a certain lean angle etc. Cheers Andrew |

I'm running these tyres on my DB1SR and am very happy. Please note that I don't push the bike to the limit - getting too old for that... ![]() Cheers, Mark |

G'day Andrew, I don't ride the tits off mine but have got it over enough for the centre stand to scrape. As you can see, I still have a "poofter strip" ...but it's not that wide ![]() The GTs have been rock solid for me with no feathering of the front tyre and heaps of meat left after 4000kms. As you know they're expensive, so Shinko might be a better option if they're made the same ![]() |

630 bucks is about what I paid for the last set of tires for the SS ( Pirelli Diablos ) I know that G T's or Shinko's don't have the same cred but if they work as well as you say ....... I have Shinko's on my Guzzi and have no complaints ![]() |
