hi everyone
i know the tire problem is quite a serious problem for all the 906 owners with 16' wheels and the topic has already been discussed in many ways in this forum. i just bought a front wheel michelin (build in 2004) for a hugh amount of money (200 €, still angry considering that it is an old tire).
now my point: my local garage had the idea to use 130/70/ZR 16 (160/70/ZR 16) instead. they are easy to get and not too expensive:
http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.plthe local technical authority here in switzerland (they check cars and motorcyles every 2 years for safety reasons) told me they would have not a problem with using this tires, but I need to make sure that the tachometer still shows approx. the right speed (they check it by running 50 km per hour). On a first sight this might solve the problem, am i wrong?
Has anyone an idea if this could be a way to move on with the paso as long as the 130/60/ZR16 (160/60/ZR16 respectively) are not available on the market?
Thanks a lot for your help + keep on riding!
Hardo
