paso 750 thanks a bunch. There are some really good photos here which will hopefully get my clock ticking once again. This has most probably inspired many others to investigate further their clock problems and possibly get theirs working once again. "You da man!" :thumbup:

if you wish to save all the fiddling around, i believe the Paso clock can be replaced by fitting the printed circuit board from some Fiat models such as the Mirafiori, Tipo and Jaeger.

I have heard, that Fiat Ritmo have same clock, but outside looks only diffrent, so have to add parts together. I ahvent seen, but i have heard! :mrgreen:

Very many FIAT group cars had the same electrics of the Ducati of the same era.
Automotive pick up (on the flywheel) thermostat, ECU, clock etc. were employed on the Ducati.

Its an orange wire (mine looks more orangey-red) that hooks into the 12 volt supply near the regulator. It's crimped to the main heavy red wire that goes from the regulator back to charge the battery. At the instrument panel end, it is the top wire (pin 1) into a 6 pin connector in the middle of the back of the instrument panel.

You could cut the wire and insert an in-line switch behind the instruments, or under the seat.
