Hi All, re my no charge problem, a couple of months ago, the charging red light came on and stayed on. On that occasion, I found that main 35 amp in line fuse had blown, changed it and used multimeter to check charging and continuity test to alternator was fine, but last weekend light came back on and no charge to battery, fuse was fine, not had a chance to do another continuity test, is it more likely to be my reg/rect? thanks Pete :-(

I quess also same, but first check ALL charge system connectors, i mean REALLY ALL!!! also those between generator and rugalator, in MANY cases problems are in that connection... melted, or near...big resistance from dirt=>heat=>"burned" connectors=>shortcut to wires=>regulator failed/(maybe also burned wiring in generator, if bad luck).... NEAR happened to me one time, but i was enough "fast" and i welded wires together and insulated them very well... Since no problem...

Sorted problem out tonight, fitted new RR51 reg/ref, battery is being charged etc, thanks for your emails

ps When I replaced it , found it easy, but the rear shock reservoir interfered with the new unit, so had to adjust the reservoir bracket for more clearance(drilled out mounting holes) and hack sawed some fins too....
