Went out today and came back with 2 problems, lost clutch fluid and battery not charging!!!! will search for regulator replacement info on forum, but what about replacement seals for the master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder are they both one unit on the clutch lever or 2 units ie lever and slave (the part with the bleed nipple) on lefthand engine cover? ![]() ![]() |

Master & slave are different units sparepartwise. You can order seals separately. Slave seals are most likely to fail first. |

it should be easy to check if slave seal failed. Just remove the clutch cover and see if the inner side is dry or not. If it`s dry, the slave cylinder seal is ok. G. |

Bought an upgraded slave cylinder seal from ebay UK item number 260187771759, fits a treat AD reads; "Ducati Quad Clutch Slave Cylinder Specificaly Designed Quadrupal sided oil seal To replace troublesome origional seal and banish those clutch fluid leaks that plague Ducati please see my website (motographix.co.uk) for fitment guide and more details" End For bleeding of hydraulics systems I recommend using a Mity Vac, a US product like a hand held pistol, that draws the fluid thro the bleed screw, using vaccuum pressure, you just need to top up the fliud in the reservoir,,,it uses clear plastic tubes so you can see the air bubbles coming out....very quick and easy,,,,has many uses for bikes and cars,,,,, |

if the thread is the problem a new piston won`t help. However if that is the issue you can use a HELICOIL to repair the thread. If you never did that before have your Duc mechanic do that. As for the secondary piston, it`s not available as a single part for the Paso but only as a set incl. bearing etc and it`s very expensive. (I recall someone mentioning $ 200 or so) You can take the secondary piston from the 900SS dry clutch or 996 etc. (I`m using that myself) Part No. 19590023B (older numbers were 195.2.002.1B or 195.2.002.3B). This one costs ca. 30-40 USD. (it`s the piston only incl. seal w/o bearing and spring). You can use the old spring and the bearing is a SKF 608-ZZ (same as 608-2Z). (the seal ring in front of the piston needs to be removed to fit the bearing) G. |
