A compression tester without a leakdown tester adaptor isn't really much good. The leakdown tester is an excellent diagnostic tool! |

It allows you to put pressure into the cylinder with you compressor. It measures the leakage in the cylinder and allows you to listen for the leaking air. Once pressurized you can place you ear at the intake, exhaust or oil filler to hear where the air is leaking out of. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leak-down_tester |
