Anyone set up a home brew for charging the rear shock with nitrogen? Curious to see what's out there |

My next Paso Project is going to be a cheap and safe way to charge the rear shock for under 100US. Recently I have become aware that the paint ball industry has N2 tanks for about 50 bucks which should be suitable.. It looks to be a fairly easy job to put the right adapters and regulators together so your average Joe can do it with out risking life or limb.If there is any interest I can post the setup when I get it sorted out. Most likely I'll charge my tires with N2 as well. |

I have redone mine ( a duo shock mazzouchi ) with n2 .I deal a lot with commersial refrigeration and heat pumps etc and we had all the right gear to do the job on hand . Why not enquire at your local heatpump guy and see if he can help ( specially if there are bikes outside ). I put 180 psi in mine |

I have an old O2 tank I got for free I plan to use. I have access to N2 at work. We are required by epa regulations to change out our N2 tanks once they are below 400PSI. So all I need is the adapters to charge my tank and the adapters to charge the shock and I am ready to roll. Should have all I need just got to sort it out. Its not going to cost me a dime but that won't help anyone here so I plan to keep it to readily and cheaply available components any one anywhere can find. |
