Rough running 906. help my paso running rough. ok from cold seems to run fine, warms up after 10 min or so and has a major miss and runs eraticly and barely manages to keep going. if it stalls or is shut down it will not start until cold. does this sound like a coil or is there more to it. cheers guys

The same issue happened when I've got the 906.
It was the flywheel pick up. Try to check it.
However, it's a very common unit which was mounted on many FIAT group cars.
Ciao

Yes. No problem when cold. Steady idle and flawless run.
When hot, first the bike began to run rough, besides worse and worse until she was stopped.
So, I used to make her cool and the bike started again.
Good work
Ciao

hey mate so in your case it was the flywheel pickup sensor ? correct. that is the devise with a sensor at one end which slots into the left engine side cover, joined by a flexi cable to a square two pin plug, that connects to the digiplex unit. :) . i have orded one local so we will give it a shot. fingers crossed

Yes, in my case it was the flywheel pickup sensor, that one on the left side cover of the engine
But, before to buy it, I would try to check it measuring its impendance.
Somewhere here you'll find the right value.
Now, I can't remember.
Ciao

according to the 888 workshop manual you should read 680 ohms +/- 15% at 20°C/68°F.

The same pickup was used on:
Ducati 851 `90 SP
Ducati 851 `91-`92
Ducati 888 Superbike `92
Ducati 888 `93->
Ducati 900 SS `90
Ducati 906 Paso `88
Ducati 907 I.E. `92
Ducati 916 `94
Ducati 916 Monop.-Senna `95-
Ducati 916 SP `96

just in case
