Post subject:  new paso rider needs some help to restart the engine

hi there,
I'm the new owner of a gray 906 that's was sleeping from 15 years.
Now what I have to change? Could you please give me a "short" list of elements that i must buy?

what I need is a list with serial numbers or a web site where I can buy everything.
I know a lot of them for bmw motorbikes, I need something similar that sell ducati spares parts starting by model.
Probably I have to spend a lot of money, so I'm looking to save buying on line.

many thanks

p.s. I'm looking for tyres....they are seventeen years old....is not that good feeling

All the rubber stuff: timing belts, tires (of course viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3872), brakes' lines...
Besides, replace the spark plugs and check the valves.
Empty the tank and replace all the fluids (oil, water, brake's fluid) and the filters (oil, air and fuel).
Clean all the electric connections.
Here, you can download all the docs you need

grazie persempre907.
where you usually buy timing belts, brakes' lines, filters? on line or in a street shop?
For my other bikes: aprilia and bmw now I have found online shop with great prices, and I would like to find out a ducati.

I'm reading everithing about tyres, but anyone use ducati germany suggestion? bridgestone bt016 130/70 16 and metzeler lasertec 150/80 16 ?

If I have understood this fitting doesn't needs big changes? probably only on the front fender?

many thank's

Hi Gabriele,

Welcome to the site, it's a great resource.
Where abouts in Lago Maggiore are you; I have many happy memories from Baveno, where we used to visit for holidays with our familly when I was little. No doubt very different now.

Cheers,

Fraser.

Hi Fraser,
very close to Baveno just some km on the way to Mottarone.
When I was young I lived in Baveno near camping Lido.

cheers

Gabriele,
buy the belts at nearest Ducati dealer.
You'll find they are cheaper than any online shop.
All the other parts are really easy to find. You can buy them everywhere.

Yes, I have just received the answer from the nearest ducati dealer, but with surprise I'm reading that some articles are discontinued

if someone know where I can buy them....

kit rev. carburatore 037051102**FUORI PRODUZIONE**

kit rev pompa freno a. 037054340**FUORI PRODUZIONE**

2 x tampone (telaio) 037083020**FUORI PRODUZIONE**

tappo radiatore 000053734**FUORI PRODUZIONE**

protezione sup. 46010041A**FUORI PRODUZIONE**

also they don't have the champion RA6YC ...do you use them or I can buy an alternative ?

I find out that there is some rust in the fuel tank

Do you know which parts I have to replace to be sure that the valve works properly?

cheers
