Hi all, can anyone tell me if any other model dukes use the same oil sensor (I think?) that's fitted to the rear right of the motor, one of the two wires has came out so I need a replacement? |

rear right of the motor? You don`t mean the neutral switch, do you? |

Yes, that's the neutral switch. Same as most Ducati's from '98 on. Earlier ones mainly used a 2-wire version. |

Hi all, I've seen oil sensors on eBay the same as these natural sensors, are they the same? |

No , the neutral sensor is a plunger switch , the tip of which bears against a cam on the gear selector drum and when the drum is in the neutral position the switch moves to complete a circuit and the neutral light illuminates. The oil sensor is either a temp sensor ( similar to a water temp sensor ) or a oil pressure switch , which may be either a sensor to provide info to an oil pressure gauge or a switch to operate a low oil pressure warning light .The 750 has an oil temp sensor and a low oil pressure warning light ( its oil /ail cooled ) where as the 906/907 have a low oil pressure switch and a warning light and a water temp sensor for a engine coolant temp gauge ( they are water cooled ) If you have a butchers at both a 750 and a 906 you will see the oil temp ( 750 ) and the water temp (906) are in the same place on the dash .... just labelled differently http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Ducati- ... bjHL-idbIg. Im pretty sure this is what your looking for ![]() |

That isn't the correct switch. That is a 2-wire switch but the one for the 906 is a single wire switch. It can be made to work by grounding one of the wires and connecting the other to the harness. |

are you sure the 906 neutral switch only has one wire? This is the original part number: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Interruttore-Seg ... Y/$_57.JPG (@Spondon906 don`t be confused it doesn`t make any difference ![]() |

The origanal one I had fitted was a 2 wire switch until one wire fell off, it was the same as the one in the link above with stripped wires, thanks for the help guys ![]() |

It seems I'm wrong then, yet the wiring diagrams for all the Paso models show the neutral light circuit with one wire grounded by the switch! |
