Have adjusted the idling to 1000-1200 rpm (from 1500 with hot engine) using the idling adjustment screws. Needed a 180 degrees turn clockwise for both cylinders. The manual warns with 'always perform the operations carefully in order not to damage the system line up'. What carefully means is unclear. Anyone with experience?

First off that set of screws is for trimming the butterflies which will require a manometer to do properly. There are two idle adjustment screws but only one is used to adjust the idle. Generally the idle screw on the left side of the throttle bodies is used as normally when setting the tps the left side throttle body is the base and the right hand is trimmed to match so the right side idle screw is backed out to where it has no purpose. The screw used to adjust the idle properly is right below the fast idle cam adjuster on the left side of the throttle bodies when sitting on the bike.
Now that your head is spinning there is the entire procedure TPS,Sync,Idle and CO trim listed in the 907 documents section of this website

once the two screws you show are changed in any significant way you will need to do the entire procedure to get things setup properly. If you are real lucky you can get them back to where they belong by syncing them with a Manometer assuming you have not made any other adjustments to any other settings. Once synced you will back off the idle screw and the throttle cable and check that the base TPS reads the proper mV. If it is reading the proper range you can then reset the throttle cables and adjust the idle and you should be good to go.

CO trimming is done last before the final step of adjusting the idle and does not require ant special equipment if you are familiar and have a good ear for small changes in rpm. If not a tachometer can be helpful

Now things become too complicated for me. I will set the screws to their original position and search for help
