Thanks for the offer blazing.
I am still undecided if I buy this beautiful machine or buy a new bike.
After reading heaps of posts it seems like every owner has problems or spends a lot of time repairing their bike.
I am anal with all my bikes and they must be ready to fuel up start straight away and be capable of a blast from Brisbane to the Oxley Highway at the turn of a key and be problem free.
I rekon I will offer the guy $6000-$6500 that way if I have to spend a few thousand to bring it up to my standard then in my eyes its a good buy.

I guess it could seem that we are always fixing our paso's, but them we are hardly likley to post everytime things went well .The paso is like any other bike in that you get out what you put in . Regular maintainance and a bit of experiance ,or a website full of helpful bods, and common sense is all you need to enjoy . I have owned my paso for 5 years now , and while I havent ridden it for a year now , it has never left me stranded , and regularly did the 1600k trip to Wanaka and back ( visit parents ). Just buy the bike , get it properly sorted ( if it aint already )do proper servicing , which doesnt have to be expensive especially if you are mechanically minded , and you will enjoy

36 907 in what, 4-5 million citizens? Quite rare, I`d say.... :wink:

Any 18-20 years old bike w just basic maintenance (or less.... :wink: ),
needs quite a bit of TLC. Regardless brand.

hmm I read that there was only 40 907 in Australia, 20mill population, maybe that is just in one state :dunno:

I can't see why a 907 or any other bike should be that un reliable as long as you have done proper servicing and replacement of 20 year old parts as required. Its no different to any other machine.

You basically stop for either fuel or ignition problems, so do the elec up grade, my bike now starts like a rocket, clean your fuel flters and run an injector cleaner on a regular basis and if youdon't ride much put some fuel stabiliser in the tank, stops degradation of the petrol and stops the tank rusting.

Any other failures would be the same for any bike.

I second Jaffa, the bike is so beautiful, I just love looking at it, so riding is just a bonus!!
