My parts dealer told me, that both are not available at ducati any more.
I have to ask a ducati dealer directly next week.

G., is it possible for you to scan the sticker & mail the scan to me?

If the repro is successful, i am going to have a set produced.
So these who help me might get one for free

Cheers,
Johannes

That might be something to start from.
The other one is much more critical...

Does anyone know the part# from the cable to reset the odometer?

I don`t think there is one as it comes with the instrument cluster.

But the dashboard itself contains about 4 different partnumbers, so i hoped this thing would be seperate. But the parts dealer has only the complete dash for ~500€/700$...
Mine is nearly chafed through.

Here some pics from today... The progress of the assembly is... well... low...
Nearly all rubber parts, screws & bolts are or will be new.

Swingam is repaired, but new swingarm is ordered, as well as a new radiator.

In the meantime, the rear brake is overhauled & footpegs reworked.
Some rare/unobtainable parts & screws are new zinc plated. Some other parts (axles & bolts from forward foodpegs) will be cadmium plated or silver plated the next days (waiting on a friends reply). Just curious how it looks...

Are there plugs for the upper holes available?

The second pic:
The Airbox, current state. Some work left. No carbon fibre, but will work as well

It`s looking really good.
Is that a Technoflex shock and are there no washers under the bolt/nut that hold the frame in the engine ?
The upper holes had no plugs as they are covered by the fairing. The frame rubber plugs from the SS/888 won`t fit as far as I know as they are too small. The ones from MPL I got were 22mm btw.
Some hardware shop may have fitting rubber/plastic plugs for a few cents.

G.

PS: if it`s no problem could you make the pics not bigger than 800x600?

No prob., next pics will be smaller.

It is a Wilbers shock (see comments diectly above pictures). Some soft setting, because the tracks in Peenemuende & Wittstock are very bumpy. I also prefer a soft setting on flat tracks. It is not the fastest setting, but makes going fast easier for me... The original fork will be fitted with progressive wilbers springs as well. The "anti-dive" is already overhauled.

At the moment i am looking for brake disks... where should i buy these? The chineese ones on ebay look good & are cheap, but i do not trust `em.

I used no washers for engine mounting. The have been none, and the parts manual shows none as well. Would you use washers?

they are used. See TAV.23 #19. I`d use them just to not scratch the paint/powdercoat. They are not used for the nut of the rear engine mount. Why not there I can´t tell.

If you need 320mm brake discs check ebay UK. On ebay Germany they sometimes offer single discs that are almost worn for horrendous prices. In UK they are a lot cheaper. Look specially for the ones of the Aprilia RSV Mille. These are either Brembos or Sunstar. Sunstar is original supplier for many bikes specially jap. It`s just that a lot of people never heard of this company. Aprilia swapped to Sunstar as they were cheaper than Brembo. If they were no good for sure not so many bike manufacturers would use them.
You can try to contact the seller apriliasupercentre on ebay UK. They were selling the new pair (!) for GBP 132.95.

yes.
You can compare the measurements here:
http://www.box.net/shared/59pziy24rl

I stumbled over them some months ago when looking for discs for a friends Elefant (he`s using wheel hubs from a Sport Classic). He had the old Brembo discs from a Supersport before, the ones with the hole design. Now he`s using the ones from the RSV. As expected they are a direct replacement.
