Hello to you all in cyber space.... Can anyone help Im after a replacement CPU P7 either new or second hand. The problem with my Duc ( so my mechanic tells me) seems to be fuel injection which is regulated from the CPU ![]() Does anyone have one? or can tell me where to buy one from. Cheers Timbo |

I have no experience with these. I've just been keeping the link around. It seems to me, though, that this might help you as they have a P7/P8 product. |

Timbo, is your problem in the ECU or in the injectors? Ciao |

well, i tell you what. not a pleasant thought to have to purchase one but it is extremely reassuring to know that if you have to, you can purchase one. otherwise, i guess you just wind up with a paso paperweight. |

hi, ford had used the p8 in the sierra. but there are different generations. the car-version has no co2-screw, 4 power-amps and a different eprom. co2-srew is only a potentiometer and the eprom use a socket. the 2 mor amps shouldn´t care. may this info is useful for you. |

Hello Thanks for replies guys.. Franceco the problem is with the CPU not injectors they re working, fine whats happening the petrol is not injected at the same time of the spark. This is causing a kick back on engine due to valves being open ??????. All timing, electrics, plugs etc are fine. The Eprom is also fine, fault believed to be within electrical circuit of CPU. I have found (via Ducati Owners Club GB) a company in England called Correction Injection who hopefully can help. Many thanks Stay safe Timbo |

This is a good thing. I think would be easy for an electronic expert fixing the ECU, considering also the eprom is working. It's a pity Antti (Finnpaso) is now cooking in the sun of the Red Sea. For sure, he could tell us something. No matter, I think the company will help you. If they will not be able, let us know. Someone of us has surely another ECU for spare part (I also have one). Sorry, Timbo, that i havent time for reading hole story, BUT if U need P7 ECU, i know, that they have that in offer just now in Ducati/Italy: Ordering number: 28610071A Centralina IAW 043 (07) 851 Superbike biposto 91/92. I think, just same ECU, as in 907, but with 851 Eprom, so propably this will fit also to 907IE by changing only Eprom, what is very simple job.... Btw, normal price seems to be 868€, but in offer 104,66€, so its not so bad investment for future to buy one for "spare parts"... ![]() |

Antti, do you think the ECU might be repaired by a good electrician? Ciao |

That P7 ECU have plenty of very small "surface mount" components, so need to have very small weldering tools and surely also magnifying glass with good light, so its not anymore "simple job" for normal "home electricians"... ![]() ![]() Btw, Have You guys maintained Your injectors ever???? They also need maintaining, cause there is also one small filter, what You cant change at home. Not so bad idea to maintain injectors every 40 000kms, or so. Its not so expensive in such carburetor/injection maintainer. I have done that one time and i was satisfied, what they did. |
