It seems to me, the ST2 and 907 engines are a little bit different, above all for the fix points at the frame. But, someone has put the 888 engine on the Paso's frame. Antti, a member of this forum, has both an ST (but the ST4s) and a 907. I think he can tell you a competent advice. But, why do you want put the ST engine on the 907 frame? You will not have much more power. So, why don't put a quattrovalvole engine? Ciao |

As I told you, I can't be sure. No matter, the engines of the 907 and of the ST are very similar, so I wouldn't do it. I'd try to find the big bore kit, if you can't give up to 40cc ![]() Ciao |

I heard about putting 944 ciliders in a 907 engine, in a racing bike, but I can't remember when or where ![]() In this site you can find something about crankshaft compatibility  |

Knowing that Ducati don`t change so much between models and often use parts from different models, maybe the ST2 engine is just a 907 w different cams & 944 kit? Gert |

Gert, U are very close.... And ST2 engine have newer M16 ECU with only one pick up. 907 have 2 pick ups.... That can be "the problem" to swap ST2 engine to 907 electrics.... ![]() Btw, mounting points are same in both 907 and ST2 engines and ST have curved radiator. Its easy to add 944 (ST2) sylinders and pistons to 907 engine. ST2 have much better cams, than 907. |
