Just some information for everyone.
I am having my engine rebuilt at the Ducshop in Atlanta, GA, USA. My engine has 50,000 miles on it and the alternator rotor cracked all the way to the crank shaft. This made the rotor bigger in circumferance and so the rotor rubbed the stator and melted together and locked up my engine. Aluminium particles went all inside the engine so I took it to them to rebuild. During the rebuild process, they will blueprint and balance everything. Also many of the gear sets are being replaced and the main bearings as well. They are also doing the heads, valve guides etc. Pistons and rings are new anyway (another long story) so this is costing about $3000 US . I will post when it is ready and what I think of the job these guys are doing when the rebuild is complete.
