Have anybody put Öhlins(from 750 Paso) to 907IE? Are lenght, etc same in Öhlins and Marzhocci "Duo Remoto" (91 907IE)? Looks, that other rear suspension parts are same in 750 Paso and in 907IE(i havent check from microfilm), but thinking, just, what makes that lenght diffrence of swingarms... ![]() Also thinking, are shock sellers listed 750, 906 and 907 "as same shocks"? If someone have played with this thing, let me know..... Ps, i have opportunity to buy 750 Öhlins to good price and i am not so satisfied to my 907 Marzhocci unit, what is too hard compared to 750 Öhlins... ![]() |

hello Antti, lenght of the rearshock is 360 mm (center-center). I'm also not satisfied with the Marzocchi -unit. Tomorrow I'll take it out. I gonna replace it with a Proflex -unit. It has the possibility to justify spring-preload, compression and rebound. and a seperate reservoir, just as the Marzocchi. The quality of Proflex is comparable with Öhlins, White Power and others. There is a Proflex-specialist nearby, who I know very well. I got 2 Proflex unit from this guy for free a time a go. I wanted to build one into my '90 900ss, but never got that far. So, it's a good moment to rebuild one of those unit special for my 907 with help of this specialist. The frontfork is the next thing to do. So, when the season start at least my suspensionsystems are in good shape. Ducbertus |

Hi Antti, I'll double check the lenght tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure as I had to know how long the Proflex unit must be. The proflex unit I wanted to use in my 900ss has a shortened stroke and this has to be undone. I think about the possibility to change the lower connecting point with a threaded one, so I can lower or raise the rear end of the 907. And change the steering. If you want to buy a new proflex unit with high speed low speed compression/rebound regulations, I guess € 600. But you sayd you could buy a Öhlins unit at a good price, I think you hit the jackpot. Went thru all this a few years ago when trying to find Ohlins to fit 907. 750 IS different. Also Ohlins at least U.S. can't or won't build one to fit. Ended up having Penske build me one. Very good unit. Sold bike to keepsdad on the site. Says very happy with shock.[and bike] ![]() |

I check some spare part sellers gatalogues here and they listed , that same shock would fit to all Pasos???? At least linkage seems just same in every Paso modell, so what shall be difference between 750 and 907 ????? I know also, that original 750 Paso Öhlins havent been in sale for very long time, but at least here Öhlins importer can easily maintan/rebuilt it and all spare parts are still available... ![]() |

750 Paso uses that same Marzhocci(earlier version), as 906, but at least my 907 have that newer "Duo remoto" modell Marzhocci. There is 2 Different Marzhoccis and at least to that newer one that repair kit fits. I know, cause i have used that repair kit to my Duo remoto some years ago. I get that kit from Ducati dealer without problems. Öhlins dealer maintained my Marzhocci then here in Finland and it coast(rebuilt) 50, or 60€ with my own spare parts. ![]() |

the shocks are listed the same (also for the 916 SP/BP 1997-2001 btw) only if they are the simple versions w/o any external compression adjustment. (that`s the only explanation I have as an original 916 shock will not fit into a Paso) These external adjusters are mounted a bit differently on the 907ie and 750 that may be the reason that sometimes replacement shocks with "ext. cannister" have different part numbers. the original P750 shock btw is 365mm long (measured center-center), so it`s appearently 5mm longer than the 907ie part. (that aftermarket supplier don`t really care about 5mm more or less is quite common if they can sell one modell for several applications). G. |

I measured mine once more (907ie) and .... guess what??? 365 mm long. so obvious they are all the same. Tomorrow, I try again to contact the Proflex-suspension specialist. maybe he comes up with a splendid idea to update/overhaul mine rear shock. Front need attention as wel Ducbertus |

Good news all Paso rear shocks are the same. Unfortunately Öhlins have no listings of any Paso rear shock anymore in their listings. So what to do to get a good rear shock? |

there are more good shocks besides Öhlins. I think it's sensible to contact a specialist. He must be able to improve even your Marzocchi unit. compared to a original 90oss or '90 the Duoshock is much better As I said I'm pretty confidend about my Proflex- shock rebuild by the specialist which I know well. ducbertus |
