Hello. I have a owned a paso 750 for about a year now and have put a lot of miles on it. It was my first bike. I have enjoyed it, but now I am upgrading to the 907ie. I was curious if there are any problems on the 907ie I need to look at when I go to pick up this bike. It is a 93, red 907ie. It has 16,000 miles on it and just had a new clutch, timing belts, brakes, and tires put on. It hasn't been ridin in a year, but was started once a month and allowed to warm up. Anything else I should check out before I ride it? |

The 907 is a more modern bike as regard as the 750. Better electrics, engine, brakes, wheels, fueling, etc. 16.000 miles is a quite low mileage and also the main servicing seems to be done. Does it have the whole maintenance history? No matter, if the servicing has been done, you have only check the ordinary things: the engine has to run smoothly and it hasn't to be any frame/suspension issue. So, you can pick it up without any trouble. Best wishes ![]() Ciao |

a significant number of 907ies develop an intermittant misfire at around 3500 - 4000 rpm the problem is all but undiagnosable there is a thread on this misfire anomaly many writers don't have the problem - some do... the bike needs to run up to operating temp and then cruise on a straight flat road at around 4000 rpm. ask if the bike is chipped - and what sort of chip and why... check inside the tank for corrosion. also check the V on each side of the tank where the fairing pieces meet - if there are bubbles in the paintwork this indicates corrosion... |
