Does anyone manufacture a lighter flywheel for the 904cc engine? Fast street use not race, could lighten the original flywheel but it is guesswork and easier to buy a prebuilt unit. |

I am running my 907 with lightened flywheel. Its lightened with lathe from original 907IE flywheel. about 800g away. Easy to do from original 907 flywheel... Also another side of engine about 1 kg away with STM 48 teeth aluminium clutch... ![]() ![]() |

ducati do .My 1990 paso has a steel flywheel and my 1997 sl has an aluminium flywheel . the paso is inflicted with a webber -marelli ignition system where as the S L has a koukosan ( spelling ? ) I dunno for sure but maybe the 907 has the koukosan ignition , which would mean that the SS or SL flywheel would fit . In my humble opinion ,I think that the lighter flywheel plays a part in the noisey, hi wearing clutches in the SS / SL models because the lighter weight doesn't dampen the firing pulses at low revs as well. I do intend to swap the clutches ( cant swap the flywheels as the ignition systems are totally different ) over to see if it makes a difference. I am also suspicious of the rubber dampner in the SL clutch hub ( my 906 doesn,t have this ) as a contributor to the noisey clutch . any thoughts ? |

Well, fast by ferracci makes a lightened flywheel for the 907. It weighs .67kg I'm not sure what the stock one weighs. I just googled 907ie flywheel and it was the first choice. |
