Hi - I'm helping a guy put together a stainless fairing bolt kit for the 907ie. To this end I've taken apart my fairing and measured everything, gone through the fiche, and checked all the bolts in general, and I've still got one nagging question: why are there two different fairing bolt lengths?? Seems to me the shorter ones work fine everywhere. Can anyone give a good reason for the two different lengths? Also, while I'm asking things, should a bolt kit for the 907IE fit any Paso? Thanks. I'll definitely post a review of the bolt kit when it's done. Sam |

All the bolts on my fairings are the same length. Only two that are different are at the top of the tank and they are larger in diameter. I have owned my bike since new. |

Hi Sam, one size can do the whole job. The lenght of the rubbersleeve depends on the total thickness that has to be covered. I bought 50 Wellnut bolts at a fasterner specialist nearby. Price? about € 0.50 each. only drawback is that I have to grind down the flange to 1 mm. But it's worthwhile. Ducbertus |
