Hi, does anyone know how to correctly check/adjust the head stem bearings play on a 907?
I have the 906/907(supplement) manuals, but the paragraph that explains the `adjustment`, I can`t find.
I have a feeling they are slightly loose. They are only about 5k old.

906 service manual page D.9
All the basic stuff is in the 906 manual while the 907ie manual only covers the differences to the 906.
Loosen the upper triple clamp and then the adjustment ring below it. Turn it clockwise to tighten. Then tighten the adjustment ring again, push down the triple clamp so it touches the ring and then tighten it, too. Be sure there`s no play in the fork but it should still turn freely, easy and with no noise. To test lift the front from the floor. (may be enough to put it on the center stand and have a guy sit on the rear seat to lift the front)

Put bike to centerstand and ask some fat(maybe wife  ) to sit to backseat to lift front wheel up: Then put your hands to handlebars and "test", how it feels.. Is there any "fleeplay", when turning up/down ??? If there is, then is loose. If there is one "harder area" close center, (when turning left/right), then bearing is gone.... No need manuals to such test, as some things must be in hands and brains....
