Just thought I would drop a line now that I have changed all my brake lines to Stainless.

I must say, there is a marked improvement across the board. Shudder in the front end is now gone. Feel at the lever is much better. Brakes are not as....."grabby" as they used to be.

Bought the front items from the UK via ebay. They bypass the splitter on the bottom fork yoke and provide two hoses direct to the master cylinder. As usual, a little fluffing around bleading, but decided to do each line seperately, then, once both lines had been pressurised, rejoin at the master cylinder for the final act. I actually find that removing the master cylinder and leaver from the handle-bar to be the easiest method of bleeding. Once I decided to do that, it was a pretty simple process.

The rear line I had made here in Canberra. There is a well know road ralley driver here by the name of Neil Bates who has a very extensive workshop nearby. I took my old line to him and voila......done. This line was also very easy to bleed.

The braking package now is very good. Not up to current standards by any means, but far better than the originals.

Think I still have original discs on mine.
W steelbraide hoses & EBC HH pads I`m very happy w them,
The last very successful bleeding session plays a major part as well I think.

Fit a radial front master cylinder and you'll see a further great improvement!!!
